If you are visiting Manali, it is due that you have to visit the protector of the town - Devi Hidimba. The lovely temple of Hidimba Devi is located at the heart of Manali town or you can say the town has grown around it's deity. As the legend says it was Raja Bhadur Singh dated A.D. 1553. The temple is located on a hill, so you may come across some traffic going up. First thing we noticed up was this wonderful creature!
And we all know who he is! Yes, you are right! He is Y for Yak! What we have been learning since nursery came true. It was not all. It seems mother nature has given Manali some very beautiful furry friends.
This was Angora rabbit. We went up to the temple reading the rich history of the temple on display board.
As one can read, the temple is made up of wood and how beautifully. The carvings on the wood were amazing.
We finally took off after taking the holy blessing of the deity. May the goddess bless everyone like she is showering her blessings on Manali town!
