The Best Ever Road Trip - Mumbai to Coorg and Back Part 2

This is the part of journey we were eagerly waiting for. We had planned for coastal route for some part of this journey and some amazing views were instore for us. I didn't have to wait for long. As we left Ganpatipule and drove on SH4, vast span of Arabian Sea was in front of us.

This beautiful location is perfect for photography.

Sea played hide and seek for the first 3 hours of journey. There were countless lovely and quiet villages in route. Most of the houses have gardens mango and jackfruit tree laden with fruits. My favourite life!
We drove over plentiful rivers and creeks. The panorama was amazingly enormous.

Roads were slightly confusing in Ratnagiri. It is always better to ask locals. We knew that we had to pass through Ratnagiri's only star hotel, Kohinoor Hotel which was very well known to locals. We did not hault at the Titanic view point as wanted to reach Devbagh by afternoon.

It was already 12 noon when we reached Goa. We had to cross full length of Goa to reach to Karnataka border. We had booked ourselves at Jungle Lodges and Resorts at Devbagh. This resort is on an island. We were told to cross the big bridge on Kali river. On the immediate left after the bridge, the resort has a jetty. We parked the car at the resort office. The boat was ready to take us to the resort. We crossed the river diagonally.

The confluence of the river and sea was stunning.
We reached the island at 3:30pm.
After a quick lunch we had some rest. Devbagh beach was one of the most neat and clean beach.
 Sunset was even more startling.
Resort has water sports facilities like jetsking, kayaking and banana ride.
The beach side dinner was strictly OK. We decided to take rest and did not go for jungle walk. As it is the weather was very hot and humid.

At 10am we left for Coorg.
